If you are a regular reader of this blog then you already know that one of our convictions is that counseling is primarily a one-another ministry ideally set within the body life of the local church. With that in mind here a four links to check out.
Let Your Pastor Do His Job[1] – “Simply put,” writes blogger Daniel Schilling, “we are the ones who are often responsible for hamstringing our deacons, elders, and pastors. We do not treat them with enough respect, and we show little regard for their decisions.”
Slander[2] – Jay Adams gives an example of how we can talk to our God in the painful times when our name is being run down.
What to Say to Non-Committal Church Attenders[3] – Jonathan Leeman provides good counsel for us at the 9 Marks website.
How to Serve the Singles in your Church[4] – Carolyn McCulley writes, “I have a list of insights about single adults that I’d like to offer to church leaders. The hope here is that these ideas will foster a stronger connection between unmarried people and their local congregations.”
