Another “Bionic Ear” Surgery on the Horizon
by Paul Tautges | December 14, 2011 2:15 pm
As some of you know four of our children are hearing-impaired, three of them having already received bi-lateral cochlear implants. Our youngest, Iain (2 yrs), has been doing well with traditional hearing aids since birth…until now. In the past four months, he has lost another 30 decibels of hearing in his right ear, leaving only 20 decibels of natural hearing before he is deaf. My wife and I would appreciate your prayers for our little, loud man as Karen just let me know all of his appointments are now set up for the process toward getting him his first digital ear. Once we have a surgery date I will pass it on to you. If you want to learn more about cochlear implants—the Lord’s providential care for our deaf children—please visit www.bionicear.com[1].
