At a funeral service this week, a young woman from our church read the poem she had written in memory of her father-in-law who came to repentant faith in Jesus during the final month of his life.
Sometimes the storms of life set in and it seems there’s endless rain. When all is done and we see the Son, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
New circumstances are hard to bear and our hearts are filled with pain. Remember the cross. Count all else as lost. To live is Christ and to die is gain.
Hard times in life are a guarantee. Things may never again be the same. But God is still good. May His truth be understood. To live is Christ and to die is gain.
Christ alone is our hope. His Word will always remain. For it’s only by grace we shall see His face. For to live is Christ and to die is gain.
