The prophet Jeremiah once prayed to God, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart” (Jer. 15:16). Jesus echoes this sentiment when He quoted Scripture to Satan, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4).
