The Testing of Your Faith Produces Endurance
| Four weeks is a long time to be cooped up, isn’t it? Well, perhaps you are getting weary and are in need of a word of biblical encouragement. One morning, last week, the Holy Spirit drew me back into the book of James. In the opening verses of his letter, originally written to believers who were in the midst of suffering, James exhorts us to consider it all joy when we encounter trials. Why? Not because the trials in and of themselves are joyful, but because God is at work in our hearts doing something vitally necessary for our spiritual growth.
