Scriptures to Read Tonight

Preparing for the celebration of the Lord’s Day—to worship Him and fellowship with other believers—is a much-neglected, but important, spiritual discipline. By using the ACTS acrostic, a common tool for prayer, let me suggest some Scriptures that will shift the focus of your heart and mind from the cares of this past week to the joyful worship of God tomorrow.

ADORATION – Scriptures that exalt the holiness and worth of God and call us to adore Him.

CONFESSION – Scriptures that remind us of our ongoing need for the grace of God’s forgiveness and call us to repentance and confession.
